After more than six decades of marriage, Henry and Dorothy Della have settled into a routine built around one overriding principle: everything can always be a little cleaner.

Spotless follows the couple through the rituals of their South San Francisco home, where dishes are scrubbed, surfaces sanitized, floors polished, and disorder treated as something approaching a personal enemy. Their son, Hank Della, provides a dry running commentary on his parents’ domestic habits, including floors polished to such a shine that even the family dog has trouble staying upright.
