Some friendships are built on mutual respect. Dallas and Lando have managed without it.
Dallas (Daryl Della) and Lando (Lorenzo Ocon) have spent years navigating a friendship founded on relentless insults, manipulation, and an extraordinary tolerance for one another's shortcomings. But when Dallas devises a plan to help his perpetually frustrated friend finally lose his virginity, their latest misadventure through San Francisco becomes a comedy of wounded pride, misplaced confidence, and unexpected consequences.
Inspired by the real-life friendship and adventures of Daryl Della and Lorenzo Ocon, The Sadder but Wiser Boy explores the complicated loyalties of two men whose relationship has survived years of antagonism, embarrassment, and genuine affection.
Written and directed by Daryl Della, the film features award-winning performances by Della, Ocon, Sasha Boggs, and Rich Castromayor, with cinematography by Daniel Cruz. Beneath its outrageous humor lies a story about friendship, regret, and the painful business of growing older without necessarily growing up.
Dollars & Donuts Productions presents a true-life confessional masquerading as a short film, proving that maybe the real friends were the hookers we met along the way.
Now available on Blu-ray with an extensive collection of bonus material, including remastered short films, original music videos, archival footage, and the real-life adventures that inspired the film.
