SELF-SERVICE PUMPS

We’re all running on empty, but the digital screen at Pump #4 knows exactly what you crave. Under the harsh, unwavering hum of fluorescent lights, a late-night refueling stop turns into a surreal intervention for Eddie. Confronted by a pump interface that oscillates between selling shrimp-flavored cookies and dissecting the modern male psyche, Eddie finds himself captivated by a digital siren who offers validation for the price of a snack. A biting satire on targeted algorithms and the loneliness of the consumer age, the film asks: Are we finding connection in the digital void, or just being segmented for sales?
